CFB Staff Picks: Week 14

It's week 14 and we're starting to get a good idea of what the postseason might look like.  Most power-five conferences know who will be playing in title games while teams on the outside looking in are hoping for chaos.  In the Big 12, it's looking like Oklahoma will get a rematch with Iowa State for the Big 12 Championship.  Let's take a look at our Big 12 slate for the weekend. No.  15 Oklahoma State TCUOklahoma State jumped eight spots in the CFP rankings for a six point win over Texas Tech last weekend.  Unfortunately, that won't be the case this weekend no matter how large the point spread is.  TCU has had an up-and-down season this year and the Pokes will hope it's down today for the Horned Frogs.  TCU is sitting at 4-4 and would like to win today and have a chance to finish the regular season at 6-4 with a game against Louisiana still on the schedule.  Oklahoma State has to win to keep its slim chances at making the Big 12 Championship Game alive, but could still make a good bowl game if it wins out.  If there's any team in the Big 12 I don't trust more than Oklahoma State, it's TCU.  The Horned Frogs could win by two touchdowns today if we get the right TCU team.  If we get the wrong TCU team, it could be a long afternoon in Fort Worth.  Our staff is going with the Pokes- except for Robert! Texas Kansas StateTexas dropped to 5-3 on the season and the rumors around Tom Herman's job are swirling.  Texas fans are hoping to lure Urban Meyer out of the studio, but this is still Herman's team Ricky Correia Jersey.. for now, anyway.  Texas should roll in this one but, it's Texas.  I still have the Longhorns by two touchdowns but it wouldn't surprise me if the Horns lost this game in dumb fashion.  Kansas State always plays hard and isn't an easy team to beat on the road.  The Wildcats would like to finish the season on a high note with a home win against Texas and an even 5-5 record.  Alas, our staff chose to put faith in the Longhorns for some reason.  Kansas Texas TechTexas Tech is fresh off a 44-point outburst in Stillwater and the points should be flowing in Lubbock today.  No team has scored less than 38 points against the Jayhawks this year.  The Red Raiders will get a win today to improve to 4-6 on the year and finish 3-6 in conference play.  Kansas will be one step closer to not winning a game this season.  Here are the picks.  West Virginia No.  9 Iowa StateA West Virginia win this afternoon could go a long way towards Oklahoma State making the Big 12 Championship Game.  The Cyclones should win this game handily as West Virginia has struggled this season.  The Mountaineers are coming off a 24-6 win against TCU and are 4-3 in conference play this season.  It will take West Virginia's best effort to win in Ames today https://www.cgboutlet.com/Andy_Alfieri_Jersey-68.  Iowa State hasn't lost since its lone conference loss to Oklahoma State back in October.  The Cyclones should win this afternoon to clinch their spot in the Big 12 Championship Game.  Our staff has Iowa State beating West Virginia this afternoon. Baylor No.  11 OklahomaAnother game Oklahoma State needs to make the Big 12 Championship Game would be an Oklahoma loss to Baylor.  That loss coming to fruition is highly unlikely.  Baylor has been a disaster this season to say the least.  The Bears are 2-5 in conference play with the Oklahoma schools still left on the schedule.  Charlie Brewer is going to have to have a big day passing the ball if Baylor has a chance in this one. Oklahoma has been rolling since its rough start in conference play.  The Sooners haven't played since a shellacking of Oklahoma State two weeks ago.  Oklahoma needs to win out, but this team is looking worthy of making a New Years Six bowl.  Our staff has Oklahoma in this one https://www.cgboutlet.com/Nick_Lopez_Jersey-57.  Games Around the NationNo.  5 Texas AM faces Auburn on the road as it continues to wait for one of the top four teams to slip up.  No.  4 Ohio State takes on Michigan State and needs a convincing win to keep its CFP hopes alive.  The Buckeyes need to play as many games as they can in order to make the CFP after having several games canceled.  No.  6 Florida takes on Tennessee in Knoxville this afternoon.  The Volunteers are starting freshman Harrison Bailey at quarterback today.  No.  16 Wisconsin has an opportunity to prove itself today against a No.  12 Indiana team without its starting quarterback.  No.  13 BYU travels to take on No.  18 Coastal Carolina in a game that was put together at the last minute.  No.  1 Alabama takes on LSU tonight and No.  3 Clemson faces Virginia Tech in Blacksburg tonight on ABC.  Here are our staff picks around the nation.
